Auction Terms
These terms are the operating foundation for Olive Vintage live auctions. Event-specific shipping, taxes, buyer’s premium (if any), payment deadlines, reserves, and condition notes will be disclosed with the published auction before bidding opens.
1. Registration
Bidders must use a valid Olive Vintage account and register for the specific auction. Olive Vintage may require approval or suspend bidding access when necessary to protect the auction.
2. Bids are binding
A bid is an offer to purchase the lot at the submitted amount. A winning bid creates an obligation to complete payment under the checkout instructions shown for that auction.
3. Live closing & soft close
Lot closing times are controlled by the Olive Vintage server, not by the viewer’s video feed. A bid received near closing may extend the lot automatically so another bidder has a fair opportunity to respond.
4. Condition & photographs
Lots are offered using the description, condition information, measurements and photographs provided for that lot. Vintage and antique objects may show age-appropriate wear. Ask questions before bidding when a condition detail matters to your decision.
5. Reserves, withdrawal & technical issues
When a reserve applies it will be handled according to the event listing. Olive Vintage may withdraw a lot or pause/reopen bidding when a material catalog error, connectivity failure, or other technical issue prevents a fair sale.
6. Payment, tax & shipping
Accepted payment methods and deadlines will be shown before each auction. Applicable sales tax and shipping/insurance charges are added when required. Ownership and shipment are completed after cleared payment.
7. One-of-a-kind inventory
When an Olive Vintage gallery object enters a live lot, its gallery inventory is reserved. When the lot is sold, the master inventory record is marked sold to reduce the risk of the same one-of-a-kind object being sold twice.
8. Event-specific terms control
If a published auction includes additional or different terms, those event-specific terms control for that auction. Registering after those terms are displayed confirms acceptance of them.
Operational draft · Olive Vintage Gallery may revise these terms before the first public auction. The version accepted at registration is recorded with the bidder’s registration.
